The dramaturgy is organized like a non-linear score, made up of successive states, erasures and reconfigurations. Each transformation reveals its mechanisms: change is never concealed, but exposed as a gesture in the making. Costumes act as skin and armor, simultaneously constraining, deforming, protecting and revealing. Materials, textures and objects become active partners in movement. The body does not represent: it is made under the gaze of the spectator. The piece conjures up imaginary worlds linked to cabaret, transvestism and the figure of the double, to unsettle regimes of visibility. It explores the tension between control and overflow, between image-building and loss of control. The stage becomes a space of friction where identity continually shifts, where appearance already contains disappearance.

Credits
Choreography/Performance: Nefeli Asteriou
Artistic collaboration: Anna Vanneau
Sound design: Dimitra Sofroniou
Costumes: Ellada Damianou
Set design: Vivianna Chiotini
Lighting design: Eliza Alexandropoulou

Production
Producer : Cie Lapssss
Confirmed partners: MIR Festival (Greek premiere, coproduction), Albania Dance Meeting (diffusion)Studio
Hosting: Ménagerie de verre, Micadanses, Klap maison de la danse, Point Éphémère (studio D Émergence)

Tear is a choreographic solo that explores the processes of body and image transformation through the practices of disguise, cross-dressing and scenic metamorphosis.
